Building the Plant Health Profession

After a successful pilot scheme last year with 4 studentships, the RSB is now offering 9 Plant Health Undergraduate Summer Studentships to be run in 2018. In addition to funding from Defra, the BSPP and N8-Agrifoods are contributing funding to help address Defra research priorities in 8 themes. Maybe other funders will be inspired to join this scheme too in future.

Plant health researchers are invited to submit proposals that address at least one of the following themes:
Detection or Control | Data & Modelling | Trade | Host plants / earth observations | High-risk pests or pathogens | Knowledge Exchange | Oak Health | Social research – biosecurity behaviours
More details and eligibility requirements are available here: https://www.rsb.org.uk/plant-studentships
Closing date for applications: 10:00 26th March 2018.

Successful projects will be advertised to undergraduates in April.
